We have officially survived the holidays! Things actually went pretty swimmingly. We gave gifts, got a ton more, brought them home and integrated them into our fairly small house. What did Santa bring? iPhones for mom and dad, Belle and Aurora dolls for Pyrate and an Ariel baby doll for Pepper.
New Year's was fun. My parents drove down to deliver our new presents. We watched the 9pm ball drop so the kids could stay up and enjoy the festivities. After the kids went to bed, we stayed up for the official new year and even my dad drank champagne! Weird. The kids have gotten older over night. Pepper came back from a park outing smelling like a stinky kid, instead of a sweet little baby and Pyrate slept in until 9am like a big girl would. Alas! They grow!
Pepper is so funny to watch. She loves pretend play - feeding her baby doll or eating food from her cute little tea set. It sounds pretty girlie, but she also loves to vroom little cars all around. She started lying on her stomach to read books today. It cracks me up! New word today - "Happy". And Pyrate got a grip of new learn-to-read books and cannot slog through them fast enough. She is hot for literacy and then watch out world!
