6/13/13 - School let out today! First stop, Perry's joint for ice cream. Then Pasadena Main Library to get new library cards and sign up for summer reading program number one. Pyrate read five books totaling 432 pages already!
6/14/13 - On to the Altadena Library for summer reading program number two followed by lunch at Slaw Dogs. Then Pyrate had a birthday party to attend so Pepper and I spent some time and gift card money at Vroman's. Why is it when I have free money to spend on me, I always end up spending it on my kids?
6/17/13 - Yoga in the Park, followed by a return trip to the Pasadena Library for seven more books for Pyrate! Then it was Teddy Bear Teatime Picnic in a park in Glendale. Sounds a lot lamer than it was.
6/18/13 - The Gym for mom, gymnastikids for Pepper and a trip to the mall for some new summer clothing! It's nice to buy some non-school colors.
6/19/13 - Teaching those kids how to clean! Had to cancel Gymnastics for a flat tire.
6/20/13 - Two hour wait at Big O Tires for tire repair followed by lunch at Island's and our first Slurpees of the summer! Then both kids took their final gymnastics class of this session. I finally spend money on myself at Vroman's and then another Altadena Library Run.
6/21/13 - The Summer Solstice! Yoga in the Park with Auntie Mimi followed by a Field Trip with friends to the Natural History Museum, picnic in Expo Park and a visit to the Butterfly Pavilion.
The weekend plans? A star-gazing night with the Super Moon, our telescope and a special fly-over by the International Space Station.
