6/24/13 - Too rainy-ish for yoga in the park. Big field trip with school friends: Gold Line to The Last Bookstore, first ride on Angel's Flight, lunch downtown then mounting a full production in Grand Park. Six kids collaborating! Another stop at Pasadena Library on the way home..running out of books for Pyrate's summer reading goal - to finish the Rainbow Magic Fairy Series.
6/25/13 -Took the trek out to Somis to pick our own berries and Underwood Family Farms. The girls thought that it was pure magic to walk through a field where you could simply fill your hands and cheeks with sweet fresh blueberries. We got some strawberries, too and fed some goats and other farm animals. On the way home, we needed some cool refreshment from Cherry On Top.
6/26/13 - Double Play Date! A book club with too many cancellations turns into a play date where four sweet girls end up putting on a 'school assembly'. Then a lunch date with friends for both mom and girls kicks off the first of the "panini Wednesdays."
6/27/13 - We took our little dog Beaker out exploring the trail at the Devil's Gate Dam. He got incredibly dirty and pitifully worn out very quickly. Note to self: get the dog groomed before taking him out on a hike in 84 degree weather. Pepper and Pyrate had a good time exploring and wanted to go farther, but they were also pretty worn out by time we got back to the car. We visited the Altadena Library and then bought an old fashioned sprinkler for the girls to run through. AND, one final BIG development of the day: we went to In N Out Burger and both girls decided they liked hamburgers for the very first time!
6/28/13 - I don't remember what we did.
